Stonewater is maintaining best practices in regards to CDC recommended COVID-19 screening, prevention and control designed to protect the health of patients and staff. Please note that, in an effort to Protect Security (one of our Core Values) to the highest degree, we have established a number of measures to limit any exposure to the virus. These include but are not limited to:
- Implementing an additional pre-screening process for admissions that includes questions about recent fevers, overseas travel, and family members’ risks to reduce the possibility of introduction of the virus into the treatment environment. Anyone deemed a possible risk to our residents or staff will not be admitted on campus
- Engaging in employee temperature screenings with the Director of Nursing or designated medical provider at the beginning of each shift, supplies permitting
- Limiting on-campus visitors unless they are members of the Stonewater team
- Offering experiential therapies where necessary via virtual platforms
- Instituting health and safety protocols for any current resident or team member presenting with flu-like symptoms
- Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces (including door knobs, keyboards, equipment, etc.)
- Washing hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
- Using proper coughing/sneezing techniques (into a tissue which gets thrown away immediately, or into your elbow and wash your hands immediately)
- Performing ongoing monitoring measures to ensure off-campus activities for residents and team members are safe and do not introduce exposure to large groups of outside parties
We remain committed to the highest standards of safety and excellence in working with our residents and are available for any questions you may have.
